Heruk
We have added a few great books to our ever expanding home library. Here is a list of our new books:
The story of Britain: "A definitive history of Britain which tells the story of two islands, Britain and Ireland, and all the people, Scottish, Irish, Welsh and English, who have lived in them"
We are really enjoying reading this. I have been reading a few pages to the kids before bed, and they beg me to read more, I don't though lol because it keeps them interested. It is a very informative book and we have learned so much from it already. It can be quite heavy in 'facts and new information' so I supplement the book with additional info from a couple of other books in our home library:
Romans (Usborne beginners)
Celts (Usborne beginners)
Vikings (Usborne beginners)
Other new additions include:
London history
Roberto's trip to the top fiction
Roman Fort (Fly on the wall) history
See Inside Castles (lip the flap) history
Flags of the World Cards geography
Zigzag Reading Scheme Collection - 6 Books fiction this links are in available
We also picked up a bargain in the charity shop, 10 books for a fiver... you can't go wrong as my own mother would say!
